LaMarcus Aldridge scored a career-high 40 points along with 11 rebounds to help the Trail Blazers defeating the Spurs 99-86 at the Rose Garden. It was just the eighth loss of the season for the NBA-leading San Antonio. Aldridge did enough damage that Gregg Popovich reached out to shake his hand after the game.
The Blazers were down by five points at half time, but they outscored the Spurs five points in the third and 13 points in the fourth quarter to win the game. Wesley Matthews had 21 points and Andre Miller added 18 points and nine assists in the come-back. The Blazers are currently in the eighth place in the Western Conference standing with one and a half game ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies. Portland will travel to Denver to take on the Nuggets at 6:00 PM PT tomorrow.
