Portland Trail Blazers 97 – Los Angeles Clippers 98

J.J. Hickson had 29 points and 13 rebounds in his first start for the Portland Trail Blazers, but it was not enough to close out the Los Angeles Clippers. Replacing All-Star LaMarcus Aldridge who was out with an elbow injury, Hickson dominated the game, scoring and dunking on the Clippers, including this posterizing dunk on DeAndre Jordan. Down by 1 with 5 seconds remaining in the game, Wesley Matthews missed the layup while being fouled, but there was no call, and the Blazers lost to the Clippers 97-98. Nicolas Batum scored 18 points and Jamal Crawford added 14 points off the bench in the loss.
