The Blazers certainly played their best game of the four-game road trip, but they came up short once again in Boston. Wesley Matthews scored 23 points, including 5 of 7 from the three-point line. Andre Miller had 20 for the Blazers. Portland led as many as 11 points in the first half.
Up by one point with 42 second left, Paul Pierce passed to Ray Allen who made a three-pointer to beat the Blazers. Pierce led the Celtics with 28 points and Kevin Garnett added 17 for Boston.
