After scoring 26 points in the last game over the Clippers, Wesley Matthews gave the Blazers hope again with 24 points. Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge had 20 apiece in the victory against the Phoenix Suns. The Blazers fought back by scoring 37 points in the four quarter. Portland played without Point Guard Andre Miller, who was serving a one-game suspension by making unnecessary contact with Blake Griffin on Sunday. The suspension snapped Miller’s consecutive games streak at 632, which had been the longest among active players in the NBA.
It was the second consecutive win for the Blazers. Nicolas Batum was inserted into the starting line-up for Andre Miller and he finished with 12 points. The Blazers also got a boost from Patty Mills, who played 29 minutes, scored 9 points and dished out seven assists.
