Nicolas Batum made four three-pointers in the fourth quarter as the Portland Trail Blazers came back and defeated the Indiana Pacers 97-92 at the Rose Garden. Batum scored 23 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. LaMarcus Aldridge led all scorers with 25 points; Aldridge also had 12 rebounds and four assists. Andre Miller played only the first 2:42 of the game with a stomach ailment. Without the starting point guard, Wesley Matthews and Rudy Fernandez took over the responsibilities. Matthews scored 19 points and added nine assists. Rudy Fernandez came off the bench to score 11 points and dished out eight assists in almost 37 minutes.
The Blazers trailed as many as 16 points in the game, but Batum put Portland up 72-70 with his first three-pointer. They extended the lead to as many as 11 points and won the game by five points. The Blazers will host the Sacramento Kings at the Rose Garden on Monday. The Blazers defeated the Kings 94-90 last week.
